Theatre. The voices of Pier Paolo Pasolini and Oriol Genís interweave, and the distinction between the two becomes blurred; they contradict and question each other, in moments of communion with the audience.

Oriol Genís recites and performs Pier Paolo Pasolini's Letter to the Unhappy Young. The way a dialogue emerges between him and the material itself, the way the performer approaches the author and his life; given the profound relevance with our own times, he decides to address the Gennariello, a pedagogical treatise that Pasolini was unable to finish, as he was murdered.

The Gennariello functions as a sort of compendium of Pasolini’s ideology spoken by Oriol, complemented by other materials by Pasolini.

Sinopsi:

L’Oriol Genís recita i interpreta la Carta als joves infeliços de Pier Paolo Pasolini. A partir d’aquest fet, i per la manera com el material dialoga amb ell, per la manera en què l’intèrpret s’aproxima a l’autor i la seva vida i per les enormes ressonàncies que tot això té amb el nostre ara i aquí, decideix prendre el Gennariello, un tractat pedagògic que Pasolini no va acabar perquè va ser assassinat. 

El Gennariello funciona com un compendi de la ideologia pasoliniana que l’Oriol diu, tot complementant-lo amb altres materials de Pasolini. D’aquesta manera, les veus de l’autor i l’intèrpret es barregen i confonen, es contradiuen i es qüestionen, en uns instants de comunió amb el públic que es tornen l’escenificació d’un llegat de Pasolini que és, a més a més, un llegat de l’Oriol com a ciutadà i com a actor.
